How about a whitewater rafting trip after hiking up Mount Kinabalu or a visit to Kinabalu Nature Park? The Liwagu river which is sitiuated near Ranau town, within 3 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu, provides this opportunity. The river flows eastwards off the southern slope of Mount Kinabalu and then into the Labuk River. You will be navigating 25 class II and III rapids, with break for lunch while enjoying the view of natural hot spring and waterfalls by the riverside.

Itinerary
Day 01 KK/Start Point/Campsite (L, D)
• Morning - 0800am depart from Kota Kinabalu.
• Journey - Stop by at Nabalu Market
• Starting Point – Gear up, Safety briefing,
Raft down Liwagu River (river rafting 3 to 4 hours. (Depends on water level)
• Campsite – Arrive, clean up, relax & lunch
• Afternoon – Trek to Waterfall, Hot Spring
• Evening – Dinner, Relax, Sleep
Day 02 Campsite/Ending Point (B, L)
Morning – Breakfast, Pack & Gear up
River – 3 to 4 hours Rafting, Paddling, Swim
Ending Point – Clean up, depart to Ranau Town for lunch & Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu
