Peninsular Malaysia
The east coast of Peninsular Malaysia offers the best diving in the Peninsular. The diving is generally characterized as shallow and mostly relaxing. Large jumbling boulders tumbing into the ocean floor carpeted with gardens of soft and hard corals with mulititude of reef fauna is the typical seascape. Don't underestimate these relaxing dives as adventures lurk on each occasion.
Redang archipelego
Redang is our favourite on the Peninsular. There are about 12 regularly dived sites with no more than 30 metres depth. Dives are generally relaxing. There is also great accommodation on the island and we've selected the very best, Coral Redang island resort.
Expect to see: schools of barracudas, moray eels, lionfish, mantis shrimp, pipefish and many more.
Perhentian islands
Try some swimthroughs at Terumbu Tiga, wreck dives at Pasir Tani, and our favourite, Tokong Laut. Tokong Laut (Temple of the sea) is a pinnacle dive descending up to 30m which provides a stunning change of scenery at every level. Our accommodation is the highest independently rated resort on the island, Tuna Bay.
Expect to see: bat fish, angelfish, puffer fish, napoleon wrasses and many more.
Lang Tengah
The divesites around the island are in good condition without suffering from being over-dived.There are some very notable and log-worthy divesites every diver must experience. (Karang Nibong, Batu Jong)
Expect to see: gardens of blue hard coral and soft coral, anemonefish, moray eels, bumphead parrotfish, nudibranchs, butterflyfish, bamboo sharks, mantis and cleaner shrimps.
Tenggol
Tenggol island is one of the lesser known but equally mesmerizing islands in the East Coast of Malaysia. One of the country's best kept secrets for its diving excitement and perfect clear waters of the South China Sea.
Tioman
Pulau Tioman is world-renowned as the perfect paradise island. Immortalized in the Hollywood film South Pacific, the island still dishes up that idyllic beachscape of golden sands and aquamarine seas.
Expect to see: wreck dives, schools of great barracuda, turtles, bat fish and many more.
